One line on every page
is theirs to read.
Illustrated bedtime stories from one hand-drawn world. The moth reads, your child reads a little, and everyone settles.
Free account. No card needed.
A little reading, every night.
-
Their own part.
Every page keeps a short line for your child to read, written to sit beside the phonics they learn at school.
-
It grows with them.
One book, three reading levels. A child who has outgrown the first gets more of the same book, not a different one.
-
Read it your way.
Together on the bed, on their own with the moth’s help, or just listening on the tired nights.
-
Made to end.
No ads, no scores, no streaks, no next story starting by itself. Every book winds down towards sleep.
-
Secrets and wonders.
Every book hides small things for those who look closely, and a few to bring home. We won’t say what. That is the point.
One world.
A shelf that fills slowly.
Every book opens the clock onto another part of the Isles. The same faces come back, and they remember your child. The first book is free with an account. A subscription opens the rest.

In the making

An illustrated storybook app for children learning to read. Every story has a narrator's part and a short part for your child, with gentle animation and sound, all set in one hand-drawn world.
Does it teach my child to read?
It gives them enjoyable reading practice alongside what they learn at school. The stories are written to be shared, and the child's part comes in three levels. It isn't a complete reading programme.
What age is it for?
Children of about 4 to 8, reading with a grown-up at bedtime. The child's line comes at three reading levels, so the same book still fits a child who has grown.
How do books get into the app?
Create a free account on the website, then sign into the app with the same account. The first book is free. A subscription or lifetime access, bought on the website, opens every other book, and new ones appear on the shelf by themselves. There are no purchases inside the app.
What does it cost?
The first book is free with an account. A subscription costs US$9.99 a month and opens every book in the Isles, and you can cancel at any time. Lifetime access costs US$49.99 once.
Is there a plan for schools?
Yes. The Schools plan costs US$499 a year and gives every student their own account with every book. Create an account, then choose the Schools plan under Subscription.
Which devices does it run on?
Tablets and phones, and in a browser on a computer. A downloaded book can be read without an internet connection. Your books and settings follow your account onto another device.
What about screens at bedtime?
Keep storytime short, keep the screen dim, and put it down when the story ends. The reader has a brightness cap and a last-book setting.
